An injury occurs when your body is damaged. It is a broad phrase that encompasses damages caused by accidents, falls, hits, weapons, and other factors. Every year, millions of people are injured all around the world. 

These injuries can range from minor to fatal. After an injury, the body’s interior tissues are exposed to the outside world. The most common causes are cuts, blows, or other impacts. So, how do you recover from an injury faster? A minor wound can sometimes be treated at home. If they’ve got a more serious injury, such as shattered bones or extensive blood, you should get medical treatment.

Treat the injury

  • First, wash both hands with soap and water to prevent bacteria from entering the cut and causing an infection. Use hand sanitizer if you’re on the go.

Soap should not be used on the cut since it may irritate the skin. Also, avoid using hydrogen peroxide or iodine, as these may aggravate the wound.
  • Pick out any dirt, gravel, glass, or other material in the cut with a pair of tweezers cleaned with alcohol.
  • Cover the wound using a piece of clean gauze.
  • Tape the gauze’s edges together to keep it in place.

Eat nutrient-rich foods

  • When we have an injury, we need protein right away to help us heal, and animal protein is the greatest quality source. Fish, eggs, whole milk, and Greek yogurt are all rich sources of protein.
